‘CLIL - Children Love Interesting Learning’  (primary and secondary schools)

‘In this talk we’ll first look at the increasingly important area of CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning), focusing on how it works and why it has become so popular.

The talk will be reinforced with practical examples and hands-on activities which aim to satisfy different teaching and learning styles and which can be easily implemented in any primary and secondary classroom.

The talk will draw upon material published by Cambridge University Press.’

Making Sense of Words – the English Profile Project (high school)

What does it actually mean to ‘know a word’? Vocabulary acquisition is a cumulative process and reliable information on frequency and usefulness helps to establish priorities for teachers and students. The project's findings on affixation and word families, phrases and collocations, and polysemous words all have implications for classroom teaching.’
